Diesel silent generator: the principles for emergency shutdown and generator disconnection operation are as follows:

1. In case of any of the following conditions, the generator must be shut down in emergency

1) When the main circuit of generator or generator transformer unit is continuously short circuited, the stator current points to the maximum and the voltage drops sharply, and the generator protection device refuses to operate.

2) There is smoke, fire or explosion inside the generator, exciter and outlet chamber.

3) The generator set has excessive vibration

4) Accidents that directly endanger personal safety occur.

5) Two point grounding of excitation system

6) There is a lot of water leakage in the coil circuit of stator and rotor

7) The unit lost excitation and the switch refused to trip.

2. The following principles shall be followed for generator disconnection operation:

1) The normal disconnection of generator shall be carried out after the active and reactive load of the unit is reduced to zero.

2) In case of emergency shutdown of the unit, it is necessary to reduce the load and contact the turbine for emergency shutdown.

3) If the turbine is tripped and the main switch of the generator is not tripped continuously, the automatic main steam valve must be confirmed to be closed and the load is zero before the generator can be manually disconnected.

4) After the emergency shutdown and disconnection, it is necessary to report and explain the reasons to the production dispatching and local power dispatching.
